Melanie Bonnar is a Supplier Diversity Specialist with TransCanada Pipelines, Ltd. In collaboration with a cross-functional team, Melanie has spent the past two years developing a brand new Supplier Diversity & Local Participation program for TransCanada.
Melanie has an academic background in International Relations, Conflict Analysis & Management and Project Management. Prior to working in the corporate energy industry, she spent 5 years working in Calgary’s non-profit sector, gaining experience in business development, project management, multicultural workforce planning, and talent sourcing, recruitment and development roles.
Melanie also currently serves as the President of the United Nations Association of Canada – Calgary Branch and recently received the “Top 30 Under 30” award in 2014.
Melanie has a passion for integrating diversity and inclusion programs in the North American workplace, and is motivated to demonstrate how the effective implementation of Supplier Diversity & Local Participation programs can quantify corporate economic impact and strengthen business results.
